Eligibility & suitability
Who can qualify
- Foreign applicants satisfying the operator’s membership terms and immigration screening for the chosen tier.
- People whose intended activities are compatible with the associated long-stay permission.
Restrictions & unsuitable cases
- Applicants who do not satisfy the criminal-record, insolvency or immigration conditions in the applicable agreement.
- People assuming membership alone authorises Thai employment or creates permanent residence/citizenship.
Application process & timeline
The operator’s membership screening, payment and immigration endorsement are separate events. No universal end-to-end approval time is verified here.
01Select a tier and inspect the contractBefore paying an application or membership amount.
Compare years, services, family terms and actual expected use. Check availability and invitation restrictions. Calculate the nonrecoverable membership cost alongside housing, insurance and immigration administration rather than treating perks as a financial return.
Documents & evidence
- Current package terms
- Proposed agreement
- Relying on an expired promotion
02Submit identity and background informationPreparation varies by applicant.
Provide the application, passport and required declarations. Disclose immigration and criminal history as requested; membership acceptance is conditional on screening rather than the ability to pay alone.
Documents & evidence
- Application
- Passport
- Disclosures
- Omitting a material previous overstay or refusal
03Complete screening and requestsOperator and immigration assessment; variable timing.
Wait for the formal outcome and respond to additional information requests. Keep lawful immigration status if already in Thailand; a membership application does not automatically extend an existing stay.
Documents & evidence
- Additional records
- Current immigration permission
- Booking a final move before acceptance
04Pay the approved membership chargeUse the amount, payee and deadline in the formal request.
Reconcile the official invoice and application credit with the accepted tier. Preserve payment evidence and read cancellation/termination clauses before releasing the larger membership balance. The fee is distinct from your living capital.
Documents & evidence
- Official payment notice
- Payment receipt
- Assuming membership is transferable or refundable
05Arrange visa endorsement and admissionAppointment and location dependent.
Follow the operator’s approved immigration instructions. Check visa and admission dates and any effect of passport expiry. Entry, extension and membership terms are different records and should each be retained.
Documents & evidence
- Passport
- Membership confirmation
- Visa/admission record
- Using the membership card as if it were immigration permission
06Maintain stays and reassess tax exposureDuring membership and before each stay expires.
Complete applicable reporting and extensions and keep tax-day records. Review work activities before accepting local business. Reassess the package before an upgrade or renewal; a longer membership is useful only if its permissions still match your plans.
Documents & evidence
- Reporting records
- Travel calendar
- Renewal terms
- Assuming paid concierge support removes legal responsibilities

What you are buying
Thailand Privilege combines membership services with a long-stay immigration facility. The official site lists multiple packages, and names, prices and benefits can change. Compare the exact contract and current package schedule. A membership fee is a service cost, not an investment that should be assumed recoverable later.
Eligibility is still assessed
Official terms include immigration eligibility and conditions concerning criminal history, bankruptcy and legal capacity. Holding a foreign passport and being able to pay do not remove the review. Check any nationality, application-location and prior immigration issues with the programme before paying. A prior overstay or refusal should be disclosed accurately.
Application and documents
Start with the current official application and membership terms. Prepare passport, identity photograph and any requested background or status documents. Complete the programme and immigration checks, then follow the payment and visa-arrangement sequence in the acceptance instructions. Verify the recipient and authorised agent status; a marketing partner’s promise does not bind immigration authorities.
Timing, renewals and costs
Ask for the current review estimate after the programme has the complete facts, rather than treating membership validity as processing time. Budget the membership, any family membership, visa extensions, insurance and living costs separately. Track passport changes, admitted-stay expiry, reporting obligations and the contract’s renewal or upgrade conditions. Do not assume that unused benefits convert into cash.
Where it does not solve the problem
Membership is not permanent residence, citizenship, a general local work authorisation or a blanket tax exemption. A person spending long periods in Thailand can meet tax-residence rules. Remote work, local employment and foreign-income remittances require their own assessment. Compare DTV and LTR if their actual permissions and conditions fit your needs better.
Membership is an expenditure, not a recoverable investment
The operator’s published comparison lists Bronze at THB650,000 for five years, Gold at THB900,000 for five, Platinum at THB1.5 million for ten, Diamond at THB2.5 million for fifteen and Reserve at THB5 million for twenty. Availability, invitation requirements and promotional family terms need checking when applying. The fee purchases membership under a contract; it is not a bank deposit or property that can be sold to recover the capital.
The Bronze agreement describes a THB50,000 application amount credited toward membership if approved and refundable if the company rejects the application. Do not generalise this into a right to cancel after payment or claim a refund after changing your mind. Read the agreement actually offered, including transfer, termination and upgrade conditions.
Immigration convenience does not solve work or tax
This can suit someone who values extended stays and service support but does not need this route to authorise Thai employment. Concierge help with an immigration report does not transfer the holder’s responsibility to remain compliant. Visa endorsements and each admitted stay still have their own conditions, which should be checked after a passport renewal or lengthy absence.
A bank-introduction benefit is not a bank’s advance approval or a promise of every currency and payment service. The bank still assesses identity, tax residence and intended activity. Similarly, spending enough days in Thailand can engage Thai tax residence and remittance rules; the membership fee does not purchase a tax exemption. Compare DTV or LTR if the real objective is remote work or a category-specific tax position.
