What we help coordinate
- Assess your citizenship, current residence, family and objectives against the selected route.

Application process & timeline
The official FAQ indicates at least three months from submission to approval in principle. A 2026 CBIU guide gives approximately three to six months as a general application indication. Neither is a guaranteed deadline or a fixed passport-delivery date.
01Appoint an authorised agent and check eligibilityBefore signing an investment contract
The CBIU does not accept direct applications. Verify the authorised agent, applicant nationality and history, and each dependant’s eligibility. Choose EDF or currently approved property only after the family’s full cost is calculated.
Documents & evidence
- Passports
- Family details
- Preliminary source-of-wealth and history
- Using an unlicensed intermediary as the submitting agent
02Build the complete document and funds filePreparation varies; former residence countries can add time

- Financial trail
- Omitting a country lived in during the ten-year lookback
03Submit and pay processing/due-diligence chargesGovernment review starts with the submitted complete file
The agent submits the forms and required non-refundable fees. The CBIU and external providers check identity, history and funds; supplementary information or enhanced checks can add time and expense.
Documents & evidence
- Submission receipt
- Fee receipts
- Supporting exhibits
- Assuming a larger contribution cures incomplete evidence
04Complete mandatory interviews and answer requestsDuring due diligence; scheduling and complexity vary
Applicants sixteen and older attend the required interview, generally through the secure virtual process described by CBIU. Have identity and supporting documents available and explain the submitted facts accurately.

- Written responses
- An agent answering for the applicant
- Undisclosed refusals or inconsistencies

Documents & evidence
- Approval letter
- Contribution or purchase payment
- Investment confirmation
- Confusing approval in principle with naturalisation
06Obtain naturalisation and passport documentationAfter investment verification; issuance timing is separate

Before you commit
What happens after my initial inquiry?
Tijana and the team review your circumstances, check the route and provider fit, and explain the proposed next step. You receive a defined scope and quote before work begins.
Can you help compare this with another route?
Yes. We can scope a comparison around your income, business, family, travel and long-term plans before you commit to a jurisdiction or application.
Does the application resolve my tax position?
Tax residence, income treatment and departure-country obligations need their own review. We can include the relevant analysis in the wider engagement rather than leave those questions until after the application.
Which family members can apply?
Spouse and qualifying dependent children, parents or grandparents under detailed conditions
How long will the work take?
Official FAQ: generally at least three months to approval in principle; other stages additional We distinguish any official processing target or permission duration from document preparation, appointments and the overall engagement.
Discuss your citizenship plans
Tell Tijana and the team your current citizenships, who would apply with you, what you want another citizenship to achieve and your target timing. We will assess the fit and outline the next step. There is no charge for the initial inquiry.
