City at a glance
A compact city within a much larger region
Lisbon can suit a household that wants cultural life, everyday errands on foot and international travel without giving up a city centre. It asks for a more careful housing search than the familiar photographs suggest: a view, a steep street, a school run and a quiet room for work do not necessarily come together in one apartment.
The municipality had 575,739 residents in 2024; the Lisbon Metropolitan Area had 3,005,119, according to the city’s 2025 economic publication using INE data. Those boundaries matter. Cascais, Oeiras and municipalities across the Tagus are part of a wider housing and employment search, but they are not neighbourhoods of Lisbon municipality. Utility providers, travel coverage and school administration can change at the boundary.
Portuguese matters most in the recurring parts of a move: a school meeting, a maintenance problem or an administrative appointment. Confirm an English-speaking contact where you need one, and make language learning part of the settling-in plan. Do not assume that an international workplace supplies the same support everywhere else.
What may appeal
- Distinct neighbourhoods support a historic-centre, central-avenue or modern-waterfront routine.
- Municipal and metropolitan passes can make everyday travel predictable when the home and destinations fit the network.
- International airport access can be convenient from the Red Line and well-connected central locations.
- A substantial cultural and business ecosystem offers ways to build a routine beyond visitor attractions.
What to weigh up
- Advertised rents can consume a large share of a locally earned income; compare actual homes and the income you will retain.
- School entry charges, meals and other extras can materially increase the family budget beyond quoted tuition.
- Gradients, building access, insulation and noise vary sharply at the individual address.
- Housing, healthcare registration, school placement and utility setup are separate processes; one completed step does not guarantee the others.
Cost of living
Build the budget from a real home
idealista’s September 2026 Lisbon indicator is EUR 25.1 per square metre per month. It describes advertised housing, not the rent paid under existing contracts or a completed-lease median. It does not isolate a neighbourhood, bedroom count or furnished condition. The publisher changed its methodology in July 2026, so a short-run movement should not automatically be read as a change in like-for-like homes.
For scale only, 60 m² multiplied by that indicator is EUR 1,506 monthly; 80 m² is EUR 2,008. These are arithmetic illustrations, not quotes for available apartments. Build the decision around several comparable live listings, then add the costs below. A family requiring an international school will have a different budget from a couple with no school fees.

Dated prices and costs to quote
These observations were checked on 14 October 2026. They keep published tariffs and household-specific quotes separate. Add a weekly food budget based on your household’s diet and the shops you will use. There is no single reliable total until you choose the home, travel pattern, school and healthcare arrangements.
| Item | Observed amount or basis | What the household must add or check |
|---|---|---|
| Public transport | EUR 30 municipal or EUR 40 metropolitan per person per calendar month; standard 2026 products | Choose coverage from the actual journeys. Special concessions and family products have their own eligibility. |
| Home internet | DIGI advertises 500 Mbps fibre at EUR 7/month or 1 Gbps at EUR 10/month | Three-month commitment on the displayed offers; check coverage and installation at the unit. These are supplier tariffs, not a city average. |
| Electricity and gas | Price the actual consumption and contracted power in ERSE’s comparator | Obtain past bills where possible. Heating, cooling and hot-water systems change the result; a low introductory price may omit extras. |
| Healthcare | Obtain premiums, deductibles and provider-specific consultation quotes | A private policy and a hospital agreement are not interchangeable. Include dentistry, prescriptions and any continuing specialist treatment. |
| School and childcare | Use the institution’s dated fee schedule and a confirmed place | The school section below gives one 2026/27 example. Meals, transport, enrolment and learning support can be additional. |
Water charges are more than a price per litre
For ordinary domestic EPAL customers in 2026, the first 5 m³ per 30 days cost EUR 0.4634/m³; the next band up to 15 m³ costs EUR 0.8666/m³. A 10 m³ illustration therefore gives EUR 6.65 for the water-volume component. It is not the final bill.
The published monthly service charge is EUR 5.82 for domestic meters up to 25 mm; Lisbon’s additional charge is EUR 0.1483/m³, and the tariff specifies 6% VAT. Other billed services and the applicable customer category must also be checked. Social and larger-family tariffs have separate conditions. Ask for a recent bill from the actual property rather than importing this Lisbon tariff into a different municipality.

About these links
Property-search websites help you find listings; individual properties and agents have not been vetted by Offshore Capitalist. Confirm availability, the legal right to let or sell, and payment instructions before committing.
- idealista — Lisbon rentals · Checked 2026-10-14
Filter long-duration versus temporary accommodation, furnished status, size, lift and parking. Listing availability and advertiser claims need independent checking.

Filter the specific area, size and condition. Asking prices are not completed-sale values; check property records, building works and condominium liabilities.
Compare neighbourhoods against your ordinary week
The same home search can lead to a historic quarter, a central avenue or a newer riverside district. Use this table to choose viewing areas, then test the specific school, workplace and evening journey. These are location characteristics and inspection questions, not measured rent or safety rankings.
| Area | What distinguishes it | What to test before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| Alfama | Historic streets rising toward the castle, with a strong connection to fado and walking exploration. | Walk the exact gradient with shopping or a stroller; inspect stairs, access and the bedroom’s exposure to street activity. |
| Baixa and Chiado | Central shopping, cafés and cultural activity; Baixa connects Rossio with the riverfront through Rua Augusta. | Visit after the shops close as well as during the day. Check loading access, bedroom noise and your actual commute. |
| Campo de Ourique | A neighborhood centered in part on its municipal market and local errands. | Walk your grocery and school circuit. Check the full public-transport connection rather than assuming every home has a nearby metro stop. |
| Avenidas Novas and Saldanha | A central urban corridor with shops and services around avenues linking Entrecampos, Saldanha and Marquês de Pombal. | Compare the specific block, crossing points, apartment orientation and evening noise. |
| Parque das Nações | A modern riverside district shaped by Expo 98, with Oriente station, the Oceanarium and waterfront public space. | Test the route to the part of central Lisbon you will actually use, plus the home’s wind, sun and sound exposure. |

Search long-term rentals and homes for sale
Use the property-search links in this chapter, select Lisbon municipality, and check the map boundary before comparing prices. For rent, distinguish long-duration tenancies from temporary accommodation, a furnished home from a kitchen-only listing, and a whole apartment from a room. Record the advertised area definition as well as bedroom count.
For a purchase in an older block, commission checks on the unit and the building: water penetration, roof and façade maintenance, lifts, planned works and condominium liabilities. Ask an independent professional to reconcile the property records with the space being sold. An attractive renovated interior does not answer those questions. National ownership, tax and residence rules belong in the Portugal guides.
- Keep a shortlist with the same size, condition and lease duration; save the asking price and the date.
- Visit the address and verify the letting or selling party’s authority before transferring money.
- Agree in writing whether an agent is acting for you and whether you owe a fee. Do not assume every listing has the same fee arrangement.
- Check lift access, the last stretch from transport, noise with windows open, and usable broadband before signing.

Make the lease usable for everyday administration
Before paying, reconcile the advertised property with the address and unit in the contract, the person entitled to let it, and the account receiving the money. Agree the inventory, deposit handling, notice terms, maintenance responsibility and any included services in writing. These are transaction checks; a furnished listing is not evidence that the proposed tenancy suits a long-term move.
The Portuguese Tax Authority requires the landlord to report a new rental contract by the end of the month following the start of the tenancy. Changes and termination also have reporting requirements. Ask for evidence that the contract has been reported, and retain the final agreement alongside payment records.
Rent receipts are a separate part of that paper trail. The Tax Authority addresses receipts for payments including advance rent and deposits; exemptions from electronic issuance do not mean there is no receipt obligation. Keep the record for the actual payment rather than relying on the property advertisement or an informal message.
Separate the cash needed to move in from the recurring household budget. List rent, deposit, any advance payments, furniture, utility setup, school costs and temporary accommodation. Do not treat a refundable deposit as a monthly expense, but do make sure the cash is available when it falls due.
Work, business & opportunities
Find the relevant Lisbon economy
The city’s 2025 economic publication identifies tourism, commerce, digital activities, health, creative industries, maritime activities and construction/property among its strategic sectors. That is a description of the local economy, not evidence that an English-speaking role is available at a particular salary.
Beato Innovation District provides a concrete place to explore the technology and entrepreneurship community. Its own directory lists organisations including Web Summit, SIXT Hub Lisbon, MicroHarvest and the EIT Community Hub Portugal. Check each organisation’s actual careers or programme page: being present in an ecosystem is not a job opening or an automatic route into an incubator.
| Work situation | Useful next step | Housing implication |
|---|---|---|
| Seeking local employment | Use IEFP/iefponline and employers’ own vacancy pages; filter the workplace location and check language and qualification requirements | Choose around the contracted workplace and required attendance, not the metropolitan label on an advertisement. |
| Building a business | Compare relevant founders, customers, professional advisers and facilities; visit an actual coworking or business community | Check the trip to collaborators as well as whether the apartment supports confidential calls. |
| Keeping an overseas role | Confirm the employer’s permission, employment arrangements and the tax/immigration consequences before moving | Test your real meeting hours, sound insulation and backup connection. A holiday-week schedule is a poor substitute. |
Make the work plan portable
IEFP accepts employment registrations online and through its service network; the online sequence includes personal details, a CV and an employment registration that is then validated. Use it as one route to job-search support alongside direct applications.
Build a sample working week across your clients’ time zones, including daylight-saving changes, rather than assuming every international meeting stays at the same local hour. For regulated professions, establish recognition and registration requirements through the appropriate Portuguese authority. The right to live in Portugal, the right to work and the way an overseas business is managed need their own review.

Schools & childcare
Choose the school before committing to its commute
Compare the teaching language, curriculum, year placement and support needs before choosing a housing area. A nearby school is not a confirmed place. For public education, contact the relevant school grouping about the address, enrolment and available provision; for a private school, ask for the complete admissions decision and cost schedule.
DGE’s foreign-qualification guidance calls for records of completed schooling, grades and the grading scale, with the required legalization or apostille and official Portuguese translation. It gives a 30-day reference period after a complete file, which may take longer depending on the case and workload; conditional enrolment can apply while recognition is processed. This does not guarantee the preferred school.
Ask the receiving school how Portuguese-as-a-non-native-language support is delivered in the relevant class. For additional learning or health needs, request a named contact, a written support plan and any extra charges. Confirm the daily finish time, holiday coverage and the actual school-bus route before deciding that both adults can keep their working schedule.
An international-school cost example for 2026/27
United Lisbon, on Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa, teaches in English and offers an international curriculum leading to the IB Diploma. It is one local option, not a ranking or a promise of admission.
Its published 2026/27 annual tuition is shown below. For a new Grade 1 pupil attending the full school year, tuition of EUR 14,700 plus application EUR 330, enrolment EUR 3,800 and ten meal instalments of EUR 165 totals EUR 20,480 before transport, uniforms or extra support. The meal plan is normally mandatory through Grade 5, with a medically justified exception. Later-year re-enrolment for Grades 1–12 is EUR 1,200 in addition to tuition. Early-years enrolment and re-enrolment charges have different deductibility rules; request a personalised quote.
| Year group | Annual tuition, 2026/27 |
|---|---|
| Pre-K 3–4 | EUR 12,390 |
| Kindergarten | EUR 13,230 |
| Grades 1–2 | EUR 14,700 |
| Grades 3–5 | EUR 16,065 |
| Grades 6–8 | EUR 18,270 |
| Grades 9–10 | EUR 23,100 |
| Grades 11–12 | EUR 25,200 |
Childcare and the hours outside lessons
Creche Feliz covers eligible children up to age three in participating networks, including qualifying social-sector and participating private/public provision. Social Security says applications for places under the free-childcare measure moved exclusively to its online portal from 9 April 2026, with transitional handling of some earlier confirmed applications. Participation in the scheme is not a guarantee that a nearby nursery has a place.
Ask the nursery about the child’s age at entry, opening hours, meals, holiday closure and the start date it can actually offer. For school-age children, ask the school grouping about CAF/AAAF family support, the relevant operator and current charges. Lisbon’s published meal page still quotes some 2025/26 subsidy arrangements; obtain the current school-year terms rather than budget from that older discount.
Healthcare
Confirm healthcare coverage, then the local registration
An SNS user number alone does not establish that public healthcare costs are covered. Confirm the eligibility category for each family member, then register with the health centre serving the home address. The government’s migrant guide lists identification, NIF, Portuguese address and valid residence authorization among the normal record requirements, with legal exceptions.
Ask the centre about assignment to a family doctor and the interim appointment route; registration is not a guarantee of immediate availability. Bring prescriptions and specialist records before a supply runs out. A European Health Insurance Card concerns qualifying temporary stays and should not substitute for arranging the coverage appropriate to a move.

Identify the facilities you would actually use
For non-emergency illness advice and routing, SNS 24 is 808 24 24 24. For a medical emergency call 112. Ask your local team where routine tests, repeat prescriptions, dentistry and specialist referrals should go; do not assume every need is handled by a hospital emergency department.
If you plan to use private care, confirm the clinician’s language, next appointment, insurance agreement, deductible and price of any investigations. A nearby private hospital is useful only if the financial and clinical arrangements fit the household.
| Facility or route | Location and role | Practical check |
|---|---|---|
| Local USF / health centre | Primary care tied to the residential area | Confirm registration, appointment channels and what happens before a family doctor is assigned. |
| Hospital Santa Maria | Avenida Professor Egas Moniz; public hospital within ULS Santa Maria | Follow the appropriate referral or urgent-care pathway for the condition. |
| Hospital Pulido Valente | Alameda das Linhas de Torres; another ULS Santa Maria hospital site | Confirm the actual department and site on the appointment notice. |
| Hospital CUF Descobertas | Private hospital in Parque das Nações | Check the specialist, fee and insurer agreement directly; proximity is not coverage. |
Getting around
Match the pass to the municipal boundary
The standard Navegante Municipal is EUR 30 per calendar month for the selected municipality; Metropolitano is EUR 40 for metropolitan coverage. Use the wider product when the regular journey requires it. These amounts are standard 2026 fares; concessions and family products have separate rules.
The Carris/Metro ticket is EUR 1.90 with its 60-minute transfer conditions; consecutive Metro entries are not included. Bank-card Metro travel is EUR 1.92 per journey. These products are different, so compare the one you will actually use.
Normal Metro operating hours are 06:30–01:00, including weekends and holidays. Check live service notices: strikes, lift outages and other disruptions can change a planned trip. A home-to-platform walk and an interchange can matter more than a small distance difference on a map.
- Try the whole school or work journey at the required arrival time, including street crossings and the final hill.
- For a stroller or wheelchair, check the actual station entrances, lift status and building access.
- Compare a car-free week with a car-based week before paying for parking or committing to an outer location.
Parking and cycling need address-level checks
EMEL’s resident parking permit depends on residence and vehicle documentation; the permitted zones and conditions matter. Match the names and addresses on the documents, and ask about the treatment of a vehicle undergoing registration. A resident permit does not reserve a parking space outside the building.
Test the intended cycling route rather than infer suitability from a short distance. Gradients, junctions, secure storage and the return trip with shopping change its usefulness. For any shared-bike subscription, check the live station map and the current eligibility terms before relying on a nearby dock.

Airports & international connections
Use the airport connection in your housing search
Lisbon’s international gateway is Humberto Delgado Airport, LIS. The airport operator describes Aeroporto–Saldanha by Metro as about 20 minutes and the Metro connection to Oriente as about 10 minutes. These are approximate connection times, not door-to-check-in promises; add the walk, waiting, terminal arrangements and airline reporting time.
The Red Line airport station normally operates 06:30–01:00. A very early departure needs another plan. For taxis or an app-booked car, use the official rank or the designated pickup location rather than accept an approach in the terminal. ANA identifies the app pickup area as P2, Level 2 at arrivals; recheck instructions before travel.
Compare your recurring destinations in the airport and airlines’ live schedules for the actual travel season. A destination list does not guarantee a daily flight or a workable connection. Keep the airport information below as the starting point, then test the itinerary you would buy.

Sources, station & data quality
IPMA station 535 · Lisboa / Instituto Geofísico · 77 m. These averages describe the stated period; they are not a forecast. Temperatures are average daily highs and lows, not extremes. Precipitation is an average monthly total, not a count of wet days.
IPMA identifies this as a hybrid series combining observations and locally modelled data. The publication uses homogeneous temperature and precipitation series, and values may change after quality-control or homogeneity updates.
The chart uses TX (mean daily maximum), TN (mean daily minimum) and Prec (average precipitation total). It does not use the extreme-temperature or single-day rainfall rows.
Celsius and millimetres are the source units. Fahrenheit = Celsius × 1.8 + 32; inches = millimetres ÷ 25.4. Conversion is rounded only for display.
Completeness flags and available-year counts are not supplied in this source. No station identifier has been assigned where the cited source does not identify one.
Inspect the home for a full year
Inspect the apartment for both summer heat and the cooler, wetter part of the year. Ask how the sleeping and working rooms perform when the windows must be shut. Sun exposure, ventilation, heating, cooling and noise need to work together; a terrace viewed on a pleasant afternoon answers only part of that question.
Check window condition, signs of moisture, shade and the maintenance of heating or cooling equipment. Request prior bills where available. These are checks on the particular unit, not a claim that every older Lisbon building has the same problem.
Lisbon publishes natural-hazard studies covering slope instability and coastal or riverfront exposure, including tsunami and future sea-level scenarios. A long-term scenario map is not an annual probability or a forecast of an imminent event. For a low-lying or hillside property, ask an appropriately qualified adviser about the address, insurance exclusions and relevant municipal mapping.
Safety & everyday risks
Read the crime figures at the right scale
The comparison below comes from Portugal’s 2025 Annual Internal Security Report. It covers Lisbon district, a much larger and different area from Lisbon municipality or the metropolitan definition used above. Recorded crime reports are not a resident victimisation probability.
Those totals cannot rank Alfama against Saldanha or establish that a particular street is unsafe. Combine official reporting with practical checks: walk the route home after dark, inspect building access, keep control of valuables in busy transport and tourist areas, and verify the person receiving a property payment. Residents’ opinions in the later section describe their experience; they are not crime data.
| Evidence | Period and geography | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| 81,645 recorded crime reports | 2024 · Lisbon district | The comparison-year district count in RASI 2025. |
| 85,302 recorded crime reports | 2025 · Lisbon district | Up 3,657 reports; the report rounds the change to 4.5%. |

Save the routes for help
Use 112 for emergencies. PSP publishes a Lisbon tourist-police contact at the Jardim do Tabaco cruise-terminal area; check the current contact and hours before visiting. For a non-emergency report, use the appropriate police service and retain the report number for an insurer or replacement-document application.
Locate the municipal emergency meeting point relevant to the home and agree a household contact plan. Lisbon’s civil-protection network covers events such as earthquakes, fire and flooding; follow the instructions for the actual event rather than automatically heading to the nearest riverfront space.
Public services & practical setup
Set up water and electricity separately
For an EPAL water contract, the published checklist includes identification, a tax number, proof of occupation such as a lease, and the property’s tax article and unit details. Where a meter exists, provide its reading; a photograph is useful. EPAL states that making the supply contract itself is free. Confirm the appointment or activation arrangements for the actual property rather than assuming the day you collect the keys is the supply date.
EPAL’s Lisbon service should not be treated as the utility for every address in the wider metropolitan area. If you choose a home outside Lisbon, identify the responsible local water service before sending the documents. This is one reason the legal address matters more than an advertisement describing the home as “Lisbon.”
For electricity, compare the supplier’s contract summary. ERSE, the energy regulator, highlights price, commitment periods, billing, payment arrangements and extra services. Assistance or insurance products should not be mistaken for an unavoidable part of buying electricity. Ask which charges are recurring and what happens when any introductory period ends.
At handover, photograph meter identifiers and readings, check which appliances work, and establish who handles a fault. Test internet availability at the unit and arrange installation separately. A utility account being opened does not demonstrate that your workspace is ready for a normal week of calls.
Sources for this section
Use the local services around the address
Keep a single address file with the signed lease, relevant identification, tax details, meter photographs and service confirmations. A new utility contract is not a substitute for changing an address with every institution that needs it. Check the national requirements in the Portugal relocation guide and then the municipality and parish serving the exact home.
For waste, follow the collection and separation arrangements of the building and street; a container used elsewhere in Lisbon may not be the correct arrangement at your address. Report public-space maintenance issues through the municipal Na Minha Rua channel, which also routes relevant matters to parish councils.
Lisbon’s public-library network offers book borrowing and activities. Look up your nearest branch, membership documents, opening hours and accessible facilities before a visit. It can provide a regular local routine for both adults and children without building every outing around a paid attraction.
Culture, community & daily life
Make room for life beyond the move
Choose the cultural routine that you will actually use: an evening concert near the Gulbenkian, exhibitions and performances at the Centro Cultural de Belém, the market in Campo de Ourique or an Alfama walk with its connection to fado. Check the current programme and access arrangements; museums can change galleries or opening conditions even when the institution is open.
For outdoor time, compare the Parque das Nações waterfront with the green corridor linking the central parks toward Monsanto. Test the journey from the home as well as the attraction itself. Lisbon’s riverside setting does not mean every apartment has easy daily access to the same green space.
Join something that meets repeatedly: a class, a sports group, a volunteer activity or a library programme. AIMA’s Portuguese-learning guidance points to public schools, IEFP and Qualifica providers and the course-search system. Confirm the local timetable and place availability. Learning enough Portuguese to participate makes a wider set of local relationships possible.

What residents say
Different households experience different Lisbons
The accounts below are paraphrases of public, self-selected comments. They include a person who left the centre, a retired resident who values it, a longer-term resident describing friendships, and a family still in its first month. They are useful questions to take on a scouting visit, not a representative survey or Offshore Capitalist client testimonials.
Notice what changes between the accounts: the street, stage of life, income source and length of residence. A good move should work after the novelty wears off and under the income and working arrangements you will actually retain.
These are attributed public experiences, not client testimonials. Housing, neighbourhood and household circumstances affect the experience.
In the same discussion, retired resident u/PdxGuyinLX valued life near Saldanha: walking, buses and Metro covered everyday needs, with easy access to concerts, shops and longer-distance travel. They found their area lively by day and relatively quiet at night.
Retired Saldanha-area resident responding to the contrasting experience in the same discussion.
u/uberbrady, describing three years in Lisbon with a spouse, said their friendships had largely remained local. They credited making an effort in Portuguese and not limiting social life to expatriate activities. Other respondents in that discussion reported friends leaving, so the experience was not uniform.
Three-year resident whose social network includes Portuguese friends, contrasting with contributors who described friends moving away.
u/pandarunsfast reported enjoying the first month after arriving from London with a spouse and toddler for a one-year assignment. They explicitly recognised the advantage of retaining a UK salary and that staying permanently would require a different work arrangement.
One month into a family work assignment, with a UK income; the author had not yet decided on a permanent move.
Planning your move
Connect the move with the wider plan
A Lisbon address, a Portuguese residence permission and Portuguese tax residence answer different questions. The household setup also needs to fit the owner’s travel pattern and the way the business is genuinely managed. Establish that plan before making a property commitment that assumes a particular tax result.
Our work can connect the relocation with personal tax planning, company structure and implementation. The country guides below explain the separate legal questions; the city decision then tests whether the resulting plan supports the life you want to lead.
Your move, step by step
Work through the decisions in dependency order: permission and budget, school and location, then the home and local services. Government decisions and school availability have their own timing.
01Establish the household and legal briefBefore paying a housing deposit
Align the proposed move with immigration and tax advice, then identify the school, work and airport journeys that shape the housing search.
Documents & evidence
- Household passports and relevant residence/work documentation for the separate legal review.
- A dated move plan, recurring work and school destinations, monthly budget and separate setup cash budget.
02Prepare school records and inspect homesWhile comparing neighborhoods
Ask the relevant school about placement and the documents required for foreign qualifications. DGE’s reference period begins only once the necessary file is complete.
Documents & evidence
- School certificates, grades, grading scale and the required legalization and translation.
- Shortlist of homes with the same size and tenancy assumptions; photos and notes from daytime and evening visits.
- An application or equivalency request is not confirmation of a place at the preferred school.
03Complete the tenancy and preserve its recordsWhen the property and contract are agreed
Keep the signed lease and payment evidence. Ask the landlord for evidence of the required contract reporting; its deadline is the end of the month after the tenancy starts.
Documents & evidence
- Signed lease, inventory, verified payee details and receipts for rent, deposit and any agreed fees.
04Arrange household accountsBefore relying on the home for work
Confirm the water provider for the actual municipality, prepare the occupancy and meter details, and compare the electricity contract. Arrange internet and any appointments separately.
Documents & evidence
- Occupancy evidence, NIF, property and meter identifiers, handover readings and internet order confirmation.
- A metropolitan-area address is not necessarily within EPAL’s Lisbon service.
05Complete healthcare and the daily routineOnce the address and eligibility documents are available
06Revisit the plan after the first normal monthAfter living through an ordinary working and school routine
Compare actual bills and journey times with the budget, resolve any missing registrations and make sure the home remains comfortable outside the weather of the viewing visit.
Documents & evidence
- First bills, confirmed school timetable, health-centre details and a household emergency contact plan.
- Do not let an enjoyable first month stand in for confirming longer-term work, school and housing arrangements.
